Gua Sha/Scraping

Recommended weekly 1 hour individual sessions or integrated with massage. Gua Sha is a traditional East Asian healing modality. It is commonly referred to in the west as "scraping."  I use a host of custom-designed smooth-edged ceramic and stainless steel tools to fit different parts of the body.  Continuous strokes over the sore area increases blood flow to the injury.  When we are injured we we need fresh blood to heal ourselves.  The coloration is a positive sign, showing you where the trauma is exactly and that it is receiving fresh blood. Gua Sha can be done on many places on the body. Most common ailments for scraping are neck pain, congestion/cold, breaking up scar tissue, deep aches that won’t go away. Results are immediate!

I recommend adding scraping onto an hour or 90 minute massage.

30 min massage + 30 min gua sha: 1hr, $100

1 hr plus gua sha: 140

90 plus gua sha: 180

Sliding scale available to those in need.
